James Jewell brings a high-performance mindset to real estate, shaped by 34 years working in education with students with disabilities. Throughout his career, he developed a deep commitment to helping others overcome challenges and achieve meaningful goals. Today, that same dedication guides the way he serves buyers, sellers, and investors—helping clients navigate the real estate process with confidence and clarity.

Known as a trusted advisor, James combines strong market knowledge with clear communication and confident negotiation to help clients make informed decisions while maximizing the return on their real estate investments. When working with sellers, James takes a hands-on approach to preparing homes for the market—guiding homeowners on key improvements such as decluttering, staging, minor repairs, and curb appeal so their property shows at its best. As a key member of the Ivy House team, he also excels at pricing homes strategically and developing marketing plans that protect a homeowner’s equity while attracting strong buyer interest. He holds a real estate certification specializing in working with seniors and is passionate about supporting aging individuals as they navigate important life transitions.

In addition to serving the Rochester, New York market, he also holds a Florida real estate license and assists clients relocating to and from the area.

A longtime member of the Rochester community, James and his wife are proud of their three adult daughters who they raised in this area. His commitment to service extends beyond real estate. He is actively involved with the Greater Rochester Area Partnership for the Elderly and serves as an advocate and spokesperson for the National Kidney Foundation, helping raise hopes and support for those facing kidney disease and other health conditions.
